The scout religious award presentation mass at the Los Angeles Cathedral was held on May 21, 2006. Deacan Wayne Rascati and Monsignor Kevin Kostelnik presided.

A total of 119 boys received the Ad Altare Dei emblem and 36 young men and women from Scout Troops and Venture Crews around the Archdiocese were awarded the prestigious Pope Pius XII emblem.

Monsignor Kevin Kostelnik, pastor of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, was also recognized by the Catholic Committee on Scouting, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, with the highly prized St. George Emblem, which is awarded to adults leaders who have made a significant contribution to the Catholic Scouting movement among our youth.
