The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles conducted its 15^th annual scout retreat on October 6-8, 2006, at Veterans Park in Sylmar, California. 572 scouts and scouters attended the 2-day/2-night event, which is the second highest attendance ever.

At the Retreat Check-In table on Friday night and Saturday morning, CCSALA Treasurer Mary Anne Moore and Ventura County Council Chairman Jesse Reeves were happy to get units successfully checked in....and take their money!

Album: Saturday Morning Assembly
The Saturday Morning Assembly included a flag ceremony, where the US and Papal flags were raised by Girl Scout and Boy Scout color guards, an overview of retreat activities, the first decade of the Glorious Mysteries, and then all retreat participants were organized into their "Saint Patrols" for the rest of the day.

Album: Saint Patrols
The Scouts and Scouters were divided into "Saint Patrols" for the day, to be led by trained retreat facilitators. By patrol, the scouts recited the second and third decades of the Glorious Mysteries. The retreat theme was "Evangelization", and the patrols had readings, discussions, and activities planned that followed that theme.
