Here you will find archives of past Scouter Development Retreats, Scout Retreat Facilitator Training, and Religious Emblems Counselor Training Sessions.

Catholic Scouter Development Retreat is for adult Scouters and Venture-aged leaders. The retreat is designed to help us become better at serving our youth. It also helps us become better Catholics, and become better at integrating the two. Attending a Scouter Development Retreat is a requirement for earning the Archdiocesan Bronze Pelican Award.

Scout Religious Award Presentation Mass 2006

The scout religious award presentation mass at the Los Angeles Cathedral was held on May 21, 2006. Deacan Wayne Rascati and Monsignor Kevin Kostelnik presided.

A total of 119 boys received the Ad Altare Dei emblem and 36 young men and women from Scout Troops and Venture Crews around the Archdiocese were awarded the prestigious Pope Pius XII emblem.

Monsignor Kevin Kostelnik, pastor of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, was also recognized by the Catholic Committee on Scouting, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, with the highly prized St. George Emblem, which is awarded to adults leaders who have made a significant contribution to the Catholic Scouting movement among our youth.

The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles conducted a scout retreat on September 30 through October 2, 2005, at Veterans Park in Sylmar, California. More than 400 scouts and scouters attended the 2-night event.
