Religious Emblems Presentation Mass

98th Annual Presentation Mass

We are happy to celebrate the accomplishments of our Scouts at the Presentation Mass on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3:30p.

This Mass will be celebrated specifically for the Scout recipients of the Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII emblems.

Volunteer needs:

• Altar Servers, 6-8. Scouts in field uniform ("Class A").
  Note that award recipients are not permitted to be Altar Servers for this Mass.
• Eucharistic Ministers, 8. Both Eucharist and Precious Blood.
• Gift Bearers, 2-3. Ideally a Scouting family.
• Lectors, 2. Preferrably Chi Rho recipients who have public speaking experience.
• Ushers, 14. Adult Scouters.

Important:

• All recipients are requested to be in full Scout uniform. Adults are likewise encouraged to wear their Scout uniform.
• Before the Mass, recipients will be organized by their home Council. Signs will be posted accordingly in the plaza. All recipients will remain in this area and will process into the Cathedral at the start of Mass. They will then be seated in a reserved area for all award recipients. Apart from the reserved area for award recipients, all other seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Onsite parking is available at the Cathedral for a $10.00 flat fee. Carpooling is suggested. Please be aware that there is likely to be more traffic than usual so please allow sufficient time to park and enter.
• During the Mass there will be a collection for the upkeep of the Cathedral. We ask that everyone prayerfully consider a generous donation to this collection.
